This video defines cyberbullying as a phenomenon between young persons, but really, cyberbullying is not limited to certain age groups. Maybe it is more common among younger people, but effective prevention of cyberbullying requires that we look at the entire scope of the phenomenon.

The "stop, block and tell" concept is an effective strategy because it allows the bullied the power of jurisdiction. Young people are generally not as equipped to deal with life experiences as adults, so any effort to equip young people and make them aware of their options is a positive force.

This video also advises that people of good intention make it clear to outside viewers that they are joking. Though, the viewing of peers is implied, therefore, this video may not be very effective. A sensible person watching this video is probably already aware of how to conduct themselves socially. Therefore, the answer to bullying may be found in the deeper psychological roots of children. Maybe the power struggles embedded in society are the true root of this problem. I'm not sure what kind of media and message can be used to help end these types of occurrences. Parents have a huge influence on the development of their child's personality. If a child receives lots of love throughout their development and their continuing life, they are likely to be loving towards others. The root of all of this is love. Maybe a solution is to make love "cool."
